  • User name   Enter the user name provided by your administrator (for example, jdoe123@cbd9.net).
  • Password   Enter the password provided by your administrator.
  • Authentication   Use the same user name and password to authenticate with the incoming or outgoing (sending) e-mail server. Don't use "Secure Password Authentication".

    SSL and TLS are methods to help secure communications between your computer and the e-mail server. Some e-mail programs refer to SSL or TLS as "encryption".
    In most e-mail programs, you need to open an "Advanced" setting or tab to set SSL for POP and IMAP connections and TLS for SMTP connections. Make sure you don't confuse SSL with "authenticating connections". Some e-mail programs include a checkbox for setting up authentication the first time you set up your account.

    How do I set up Exchange ActiveSync on an iPhone?

      3. Tap in the E-mail box and enter your full e-mail address (for example, tony@cbd9.net).
      4. Tap in the Username box and enter your full e-mail address again.

      6. Tap Next on the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
      7. Tap in the Server box and enter m.exchangelabs.com.
      8. Tap Next.
      9. Choose the type of information you want to synchronize. By default, Mail, Calendar, and Contacts are all turned on. To turn off synchronization for a type of information, tap and slide the switch toOFF.
      10. Tap Save.
      11. If you are prompted to create a new passcode, tap Continue and enter a numeric passcode. You will need to enter the Passcode twice.

     How do I set up POP or IMAP on an iPhone?

    8. Tap either IMAP or POP.
    9. Enter your Incoming Mail Server Host Name. For IMAP the hostname is imap.exchangelabs.com. For POP the hostname is pop.exchangelabs.com.
    10. Enter your username (tony@cbd9.net) and your password.
    11. Enter your Outgoing Mail Server Host Name. The hostname is smtp.exchangelabs.com:587.
    12. Enter your Username and Password.
    13. Tap Save.
